Leading scientists have agreed that there is a "Perfect Storm" of galactic events that pose a significant threat to humanity in the final months of 2012.

Thousands of years ago, The Mayans managed to calculate the length of the lunar moon as 329.53020 days, only 24 seconds out. The 13-baktun cycle of the Mayan long count calendar, dubbed the "Mayan Calendar", begins on August 11 3114 BC and reaches 0, or 13.0.0.0.0 in the long count, on Dec. 21, 2012. What did the ancient Maya know that we don't? What will happen on Dec. 21, 2012?

"On Dec.20, 2012, Mother Earth will pass inside the center of a magnetic axis and that it may be darkened with a great cloud for 60 - 70 hours and that because of the environmental degradation, she may not be strong enough to survive the effects. It will enter another age, but when it does, there will be great and serious events. Earthquakes, marenotos (tsunamis), floods, volcanic eruptions and great illness on the planet earth, and few survivors will be left.." Don Alejandro has been sent as a messenger from the council of the elders to warn the people of the world about the way we live and the way wee take care of Earth.

Winter Solstice:
On the winter solstice of 2012, the noonday Sun exactly conjuncts the crossing point of the sun's ecliptic with the galactic plane. Whilst also crossing at the exact center of our galaxy. The scientific community agrees that at the center of every galaxy lies a black hole. Will our sun be pulled inside the black hole as it crosses the center of our galaxy in 2012?

Cherokee Calendar:
The Cherokee use a calendar system, which is a cross between the Aztec and Mayan sacred calendars. It is a 260-day wheel, with 20 day signs, which have names very similar to the Aztec. However, they use numerical notation identical to the Mayan notation. The system explains that a world, or Sun was approximately 5,200 years in the long count of the Maya (the Great cycle lasts 5,200 Tuns, or 360-days years, which is about 5,125 years). The Aztecs did not have a Long Count, but only a concept of Suns, of which the current is the fith (also known as the Sun of Heron or the Sun of Movement in the Aztec). There were varying accounts of how long the suns were.
Galactic Superwave:
Physicist and archaeoastronomer Paul LaVooilett has written of the potential for a volley of "Superwave" or gamma ray energy that could be released from explosions in the galactic core by the end of 2012. This type of energy would have grave consequences for all living creatures on Earth. According to Dr. LaViolette, this has happened before. "Employing sophisticated cryptographic puzzle techniques similar to those modern astronomers use in designing extraterrestrial communications, they created a time capsule message that described the elusive celestial cause of the tragic disaster, alerting us that it could recur at long intervals and arrive at Earth's doorstep without warning."
