   Virginia Pols Ignite Human Microchips Debate With Antichrist Mentions

As
we inch closer to 2012, and as fatalists prepare themselves for the
Mayan-predicted end of the world, everyone will, as they have for
centuries, start looking for signs of the apocalypse. Some Virginian
lawmakers, however, say they may have already found one of these signs:
microchips. 

According to The Washington Post,
the Virginian House of Delegates is set to vote on a bill that would
protect employees from companies or government agencies attempting to
plant microchips in their bodies, an act that many House Republicans
are equating to the work of the Antichrist. Republican Mark Cole, the
bill's sponsor, said that the impetus behind the proposed legislation
centered on civil liberties and privacy issues, but added that he
believes microchip implants could very well be the "mark of the beast,"
as mentioned in the Book of Revelation. Though Cole admits, shockingly,
that he's "not a theologian," he warned that "there's a prophecy in the
Bible that says you'll have to receive a mark" from the Antichrist when
the world ends. "Some people," he said, "think these computer chips
might be that mark."

	As we approach 2012, will we see more regarding microchip implants in humans? Many believe this would be the equivalent of the "mark of the beast" mentioned in revelations. According to Revelations, the mark of the beast (666) is a mark which is mandated by the antichrist. Every person must bare the mark in order to buy and sell. If anyone refuses the mark of the beat, they will be put to death. This has been a topic of great debate. We already have scanners at all of the grocery stores. A chip in the hand which you run over a scanner is a very good possibility. It could store every bit of personal information in the chip in your hand and everywhere you go to buy goods, you woud run your chip-embedded hand across the scanner. Not too far-fetched. Is this something to fear? Could the antichrist already be here working on this agenda? If there is no antichrist and we are forced to take a chip to buy goods and store information, would this be an invasion of our privacy? How would we update our chips? Would we update with some sort of wand/scanning device run over the skin? Any other questions or thoughts? Any other information on the topic?
